Atacama Monoplinth Eco 60/65 SE Isolation Platform Supports (Pair)
You can earn loyalty points on every order you place on this website. If you select to create an account at checkout, your loyalty points will be saved and you can use these to discount future orders online.
Each product page shows you how many loyalty points you can earn when you order that item. Essentially, for each £1 you spend, you earn 1 loyalty point and for every 1 point earned, 1p will be added to your loyalty point balance (this is the same as some of the UK's biggest loyalty point cards). So for example, if you spend £500, you'll earn 500 loyalty points which can be used to discount a future order by £5.00.

Description
The Atacama Monoplinth Eco 60/65 isolation platform support is designed for the Atacama Monoblock amplifiers. Two technologies are used to isolate the amplifier from the environment. These prevent any mechanical vibration from entering the room and interfering with other components. Firstly, Vectored Resonance Displacement Channels (VRDC) are used, and secondly, the legs have gaskets that dampen any vibration. The platforms offer good support and are designed to give enhanced performance. Finally, the platforms are sold in pairs, however the price is per shelf.
Vectored resonance displacement channels to isolate the amplifier
Each of the Atacama Monoplinth Eco 60/65 isolation platform supports features V.R.D.C. (Vectored Resonance Displacement Channels). This technology involves cutting grooves into the underside. These are known as displacement channels and have been designed to direct mechanical energy away from the component. Moreover, the legs have sets of A.S.I.S.T (Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology) gaskets. These dampen and redirect energy to the floor. This acts as a kind of mechanical grounding.
The weight capacity is a massive 70kg. Finally, there are two legs placed at each corner of the supports, giving 16 in total, across two supports. Additionally, for delicate floors spike shoes are available.
Why monoblock amplifier stands?
Why should you use monoblock amplifier stands? Firstly, monoblock amplifiers are very heavy, and normal furniture may buckle under the strain. Secondly, monoblocs use large transformers and hence have the potential to vibrate and contaminate the environment. Particularly with sensitive components like turntables. The Atacama Monoplinth Eco 60/65 isolation platform supports are designed to mitigate these issues. They have a massive weight-bearing capacity and isolate the amplifier from the environment. Finally, large amplifiers can run hot and they need to have good ventilation to extend their life and prevent overheating.
