Description
Atacama SLX 1000 is a metre high version of Atacama's SLX range of speaker stands (includes gel pads), ideal for supporting larger speakers at taller heights, available in black or white. All Atacama SLX models have identical top and base plates but differ in height.
Mass-loaded Columns
The vertical columns can be mass loaded with Atacama's own Atabites for optimum performance of your speakers. Atabites are delta shaped chips that interlock together creating minimum air gaps and are more effective for filling speaker stands than using sand (click here to see Atabites available). The Atacama SLX 1000 comes with heavy duty carpet spikes as standard, with top spikes available as an option.
1 Metre High
The SLX 1000 measures a full metre (39.4") in height (excluding spikes). The SLX 1000 is an ideal choice for smaller speakers at a higher level (such as surround speakers) or if your listening position is generally at a higher place in the room, for example, if you listen on higher level seating.
Choosing your stand
When selecting the speaker stands, consider your general listening level and speaker size. As a general rule of thumb, you want the speaker's tweeter to be at ear level. Feel free to call us for speaker stand advice if you are not sure which stands would suit your speakers. The SLX 1000 includes Atacama isolation gel pads and come in a range of colours.
