Also available in a passive version, the ATC SCM20A SL Tower Active Speaker features a full SL spec bass driver with a 75mm integral soft dome.
Bass Reproduction
The ATC SCM20A SL tower active speaker is powered with the ATC Grounded Source Bi-amplifier. The bass/mid driver is powered with 200 watts, while the tweeter features 50 watts of class AB power. Momentary gain reduction circuitry is featured in each amplifier which prevents unwanted noise from overdrive and shields the drive units.
Reduced Distortion
ATC's unique SL technology in the magnet assembly ensures far less distortion in the moving coil drive units. Time Domain Distortion is significantly reduced by the material used to manufacture the dome and cone.
ATC uses polyester wave material that is “acoustically dead” along with their own unique formulation.
Wide & Even Dispersion
Includes 9kg optimised motor assembly and a built-in handcrafted precision flat wire coil, overload protection and active filters. The combination o these features results in expansive, even dispersion of sound for highly accurate imaging.
