Black Rhodium Opus Speaker Cable - Terminated Pairs
You can earn loyalty points on every order you place on this website. If you select to create an account at checkout, your loyalty points will be saved and you can use these to discount future orders online.
Each product page shows you how many loyalty points you can earn when you order that item. Essentially, for each £1 you spend, you earn 1 loyalty point and for every 1 point earned, 1p will be added to your loyalty point balance (this is the same as some of the UK's biggest loyalty point cards). So for example, if you spend £500, you'll earn 500 loyalty points which can be used to discount a future order by £5.00.

Description
Black Rhodium Opus Speaker Cable - Terminated Pairs is a two core design that is twisted to provide superior noise rejection properties. Like its fellow Black Rhodium speaker cables, the Opus is manufactured in England.
It's small outer diameter comes in at 6.2mm which offers high flexibility and a silky smooth outer surface, so you can be assured of easy installation. The Opus draws reference from the earlier and award-winning Harmony interconnect cable, with some slight changes for improved performance.
Innovative Design
OPUS delivers crystal clear diction of a singer’s voice and, through a dramatic reduction of ‘Transient Phase Distortion’, brilliantly separates musical instruments. ‘Transient Phase Distortion’ is lessened by utilising a thicker insulation (0.6mm wall thickness) than is usually found in interconnect cables, which increases the distance between conductors.
Black Rhodium's uses thicker insulated conductors so that when two electrical conductors carry an electrical current, the current created by the magnetic field in one conductor affects the resistance of the other conductor.
This creates the ‘Proximity Effect’. By placing the conductors of OPUS 1.2mm away from each other, the magnetic field on the other cable is reduced and the ‘Transient Phase Distortion’ is less audible. This effect is noticeable when listening to complex music, for example, large orchestras.
Reduced Vibration Distortion
The external jacket of OPUS is crafted from the silicone rubber insulation that is used to insulate the individual cores.
The distortion caused by mechanical vibration within the cable is reduced by the tight mechanical coupling between the outer jacket and inner cores and the damping effects of the soft silicone rubber. As a result, you can enjoy reduced harshness in your music.
Lifelike Presentation
OPUS utilises two tin plated copper cores for both positive and negative signal flows which are connected in opposite directions. Black Rhodium's acute listening tests have proven that, when connected this way, the noise floor is lowered between the musical notes and offers a more lifelike reproduction of music.
Sharper Sounds, Natural Delays
Silicone rubber insulation is used because of its low dielectric loss and it is utilised to ensure very low distortion thanks to dielectric absorption. By using silicone rubber insulation, OPUS provides you with sharper music and more natural decays
Durable and Long-Lasting
The use of gold plated connectors ensure a reliablly long use due to the lack of tarnishing. The banana plugs used on Opus are soldered to provide long term reliability of contact.
Simple Twisted Design
The cores in the interior of the OPUS are twisted together to reduce their potential of picking up high-frequency noise signals that can distort your music.
