KEF Q Meta Speakers Have Arrived
Audio Affair is excited to announce the arrival of KEF's latest Q Meta lineup, the highly anticipated replacement for the prior Q series. Now featuring Meta (Metamaterial Absorption Technology) and a hot of other updates, they are a significant sonic improvement and now feature more models than the prior range with the introduction of the Q Concerto Meta and Q4 Meta LCR. A Refreshed Lineup
This latest Q Meta range boasts a modern, elegant aesthetic and from a design perspective should complement any home décor, in a choice of satin black, satin white and walnut. All models now feature magnetic grilles which are clean and stylish and look as good without grilles on (thanks to not having grille pin holes on show like older speakers) or with grilles on. We prefer grilles off, but you have the option.
12th Generation Uni-Q with MAT
At the heart of the Q Series is the 12th generation Uni-Q driver array, which has been enhanced with MAT™ technology. This ensures that sound is dispersed evenly throughout the listening space, providing an immersive and accurate listening experience.
The refined range features a fine-tuned crossovers that ensures a smooth and seamless transition between the different frequency ranges, which results in a more cohesive and natural soundstage.
New Models
Effectively, the KEF Q1 Meta replaces the Q150 and Q3 Meta replaces the Q350 but these are far from cosmetic updates and performance is closer to the much more expensive R Meta speakers than it is to the prior Q series speakers. The Q550, Q750 and Q950 floorstanders have effectively been replaced by a more focused choice between the Q7 Meta and Q11 Meta floorstanders.
In addition to the above, and perhaps most notably, KEF have unveiled the Q Concerto Meta, a groundbreaking addition to their Q Series. This true three-way bookshelf speaker is a re-imagining of the iconic 1969 Concerto, blending classic design with KEF's latest cutting-edge technology.
