You can earn loyalty points on every order you place on this website. If you select to create an account at checkout, your loyalty points will be saved and you can use these to discount future orders online.
Each product page shows you how many loyalty points you can earn when you order that item. Essentially, for each £1 you spend, you earn 1 loyalty point and for every 1 point earned, 1p will be added to your loyalty point balance (this is the same as some of the UK's biggest loyalty point cards). So for example, if you spend £500, you'll earn 500 loyalty points which can be used to discount a future order by £5.00.

Description
The Luxman D-100 Centennial CD Player represents the culmination of LUXMAN’s pursuit of musical realism, created to mark the company’s 100th anniversary with a source component of exceptional ambition. Designed to reveal the full emotional range of a recording, it moves effortlessly from the quietest pianissimo to the most powerful fortissimo, preserving subtle gradations, tonal richness and dynamic expression.
Every part of the player has been reconsidered, from its mechanical structure and digital architecture to its analogue output stage and power supply. The result is not simply greater detail, but a more convincing sense of presence, scale and musical flow.
With an expansive soundstage, precise imaging and a deeply natural character, the D-100 Centennial is engineered to communicate the heartbeat of music with authority and refinement.
LxDTM-i Transport for Exceptional Mechanical Stability
At the heart of the Luxman D-100 Centennial CD Player is LUXMAN’s evolved LxDTM-i disc transport mechanism, developed to retrieve information from SACD and CD collections with outstanding precision. The transport is enclosed within a highly rigid box structure combining 8mm aluminium side frames, a 5mm steel top plate and a newly added 8mm aluminium base plate.
By integrating the mechanism directly with the main chassis, LUXMAN creates a unified structure that resists external vibration and protects the delicate rotating assembly. The left-side transport layout also provides generous space for the substantial analogue circuitry while allowing shorter, more direct signal paths.
Optimised internal wiring, a dust-resistant tray shutter and smooth, quiet loading action complete a transport system designed to deliver both technical stability and the tactile refinement expected from a reference-class player.
Dual-Mono DAC Architecture and High-Resolution Playback
Digital conversion within the Luxman D-100 Centennial CD Player is handled by two premium ROHM BD34302EKV DAC chips operating in a dedicated dual-mono configuration. This arrangement gives each channel its own conversion path, supporting superior separation, lower noise and a more stable stereo image.
Through USB, the player accepts PCM data up to 768kHz/32-bit and DSD up to 22.5MHz, while coaxial and optical inputs support PCM up to 192kHz and DSD 2.8MHz via DoP. LUXMAN’s dedicated driver software also enables four Bulk Pet transfer modes, designed to distribute processing load more evenly during USB playback.
Three selectable filters for PCM and two for DSD allow listeners to tailor the presentation subtly, preserving precision while offering flexibility to suit different recordings, systems and personal preferences.
LIFES 1.1 Analogue Output for Natural Musicality
The analogue output stage of the Luxman D-100 Centennial CD Player is the first in a LUXMAN disc player to incorporate the company’s advanced LIFES 1.1 feedback engine.
Developed from more than two decades of refinement of ODNF technology, LIFES feeds back only distortion components generated during amplification, combining excellent measured performance with the openness and natural flow associated with low-feedback designs.
For this latest version, the circuit architecture and component selection were comprehensively reassessed, producing a simpler and more direct signal path. Parallel connection at the differential detection input stage further reduces distortion and improves linearity.
Sonically, this translates into greater depth, tonal density and expressive ease, allowing voices and instruments to emerge with convincing body, dimensionality and emotional presence while maintaining the composure expected from a true flagship source component.
Ultra-Low-Jitter Clocking and Regulated Power Delivery
Precise timing and stable power are fundamental to the performance of the Luxman D-100 Centennial CD Player. Two newly developed clock circuits combine ultra-low-phase-noise oscillator ICs with large crystal oscillators, reducing noise around the oscillation frequency and helping minimise jitter.
USB signals are managed asynchronously by a dedicated DSP, while coaxial and optical sources benefit from LUXMAN’s integrated DAIR system for high-accuracy clock control. The power supply is equally substantial, using a CI-core transformer, independent left and right rectification circuits, dedicated regulators and 40,000μF of filter capacitance.
Peel-coated circuit boards and oxygen-free copper internal wiring further support low-resistance signal transmission. Together, these measures contribute to improved timing, cleaner backgrounds, more focused imaging and a more effortless sense of dynamic scale.
Centennial Design, Premium Connectivity and Refined Control
The Luxman D-100 Centennial CD Player combines its advanced engineering with a distinctive exterior worthy of LUXMAN’s anniversary flagship range. A chrome-plated “CENTENNIAL” nameplate and sculpted chassis create a bold yet elegant visual identity, while the large high-definition OLED display is approximately 70 percent larger than that of the D-10X.
It clearly presents track information, elapsed time, source format, filter selection and playback mode, with four dimmer levels, four-times zoom and automatic brightness reduction. Premium RCA outputs use LUXMAN’s rigid 22mm-pitch design, while balanced outputs employ high-quality Neutrik XLR terminals.
Cast-iron density-gradient feet help control vibration, and the reinforced AC inlet securely supports heavier power cables. A slim aluminium RD-21 remote control completes a package designed for effortless operation and long-term ownership.
