Description
The Creek 4040A integrated amplifier with DAC is the highly anticiated replacement for the prior Evolution 50A and has been redesigned and redeveloped for even better performance, remarkably from an incredibly compact chassis. A matching 4040CD purist CD player is also available.
Follows an icon
The 4040A has essentially replaces the Evo range but has been designed to follow the DNA of the CAS4040 originally released in 1982 and has been improved and updated to cater to modern listening.
Power Amp and Power Supply
Creek 4040A features MERUS Infineon technology which is capable of driving even the most demanding loudspeakers at decent listening volumnes without taking up much space, allowing for the incredibly compact size of this model.
This is matched with a high-frequency 350W power supply designed specifically for audio performance, which is designed to be unaffected by the quality of the incoming mains supply. A standby mode will shut down non-used functions when necessary to save energy.
Onboard DAC
In addition to 2 standard analog RCA inputs, and a balanced XLR input, the 4040A features an excellent on-board 32-bit ES9018k2m Sabre32 DAC with support for PCM and DSD.
Connect all of your digital sources via digital inputs that include USB, optical and coax. You can also stream music via Bluetooth 5.0 AptX.
Optional Phono Stage
You can also order 4040A with the Sequel Mk4 phono stage board which can be fitted to provide an excellent onboard phono stage for your turntable without needing to have a separate box.
