Description
Final Audio D8000 Planar Headphones brings Final Audio into the Planar Magnetic era, capable of producing sound that is highly detailing in the high-frequency range, and open and stunning in the low-frequency range.
Listening Experience
Listening to the D8000 opens up new discoveries from listening to the music that will make you want to listen to your library over and over again. When you listen with the Final D8000 you feel yourself falling deeper into the music, with aural nuances opening up in front you. The damping mechanism, which has been newly developed to ensure the D8000 outperforms any planar-magnetic or dynamic headphone, redefining sound and possibilities of what a pair of headphones can achieve.
Air Film Dampening
The D8000 is a design breakthrough in planar magnetic design, the thin air film used in condenser microphones has been combined with a perforated mesh metal, referred to as the 'Air Film Dampening System' (AFDS). The AFDS technology, when combined with the spiral coil, creates an idiosyncratic sound signature, with a heightened bass response. The AFDS solves the problem of the diaphragm contacting the magnet, so it becomes possible to lower the frequency bass response. The headphones are improved by breathable earpads, so they can reproduce bass with openness and volume, which can only experience with high-end dynamic headphones.
Aluminium Housing
The enclosures of the headphones are precision crafted an aluminium magnesium alloy. In order to establish the Air Film Dampening System extremely high accuracy is required compared with traditional drivers. By applying a leather paint finish that is used for high-end cameras, Final also takes measures against unwanted vibrations.
Detachable Cables
Newly developed cables for D8000 include a cable with 3.5mm mini plug termination with 1.5m length for portable use and a 6.35mm standard plug termination for home listening. Optional silver connector cables for various connectors including balanced type are scheduled separately.
Future Proof
In order to be able to use the D8000 for a long time after purchase, Final have designed it so that almost all parts can be disassembled with screws. By being able to easily disassemble the headphones means future upgrades and repairs can be performed, which makes the D8000 timeless headphones, providing pleasure for many years to come ready for action for many years.

Press Reviews
"...The D8000’s mids, upper-mids, and highs opened up in a magnificent way, so that the headphone’s tonal balance became pleasingly neutral while its overall resolution, transient speed, and focus took quite dramatic steps forward. The resulting sound was, I must say, simply breathtakingly good, though in an effortless and almost self-effacing way." (Hi-Fi+ Magazine May 2018)
