Description
Grado Prestige 3 Red is the latest version of this high performance moving magnet (MM) phono cartridge offering a higher performance than the Prestige Blue 3 cartridge.
Grade Prestige 3 Red Design
Grado’s Prestige 3 Red has been re-designed; it uses a four-piece OTL cantilever (compared to the Black and Green which only use three piece variations), oxygen free wire in the coils and Grado's specially designed elliptical diamond mounted in a brass bushing.
Red Over Blue
The Prestige Red 3 cartridges are hand selected from the Blue 3 production lines that meet higher test specs. Roughly 10% of these Blue 3 runs obtain these specs and become a Red 3 cartridge.
Grado’s OTL
Grado’s optimized transmission line technology rejects unwanted resonances, lowers distortion levels, makes records sound quieter, improves the soundstage and presents more detail than before.
Stereo Imaging
The Prestige 3 Red uses an ultra high purity copper wire that achieves unison between the four coils, which achieves an improved and precise balance between channels and accurate stereo imaging.
Flux-Bridger Design
The Prestige Red 3 features Grado’s patented Flux-Bridger design that has one of the lowest effective moving mass generating systems whilst also creating an excellent balance throughout the full frequency range.
