Description
The Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift-Up tensioned Projector Screen rises from a compact container. The screen is fully automatic and rejects ambient light. Moreover, tensioned screens have a wire system that ensures that the screen is stretched flat. The floor-up design is operated by remote control and has high contrast, excellent colour, and a wide viewing angle. Two sizes are available, 100” and 120”. Finally, the Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift-Up Tensioned Projector Screen is designed for use with short-throw projectors.
Easy remote control or trigger input
A fold-up projector screen is unobtrusive when closed. Additionally, the Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift-Up tensioned Projector Screen can be operated in two ways. Firstly, the supplied remote control will raise the screen. Alternatively, there is also a trigger input that can be connected to an AV amplifier or projector, that has a trigger output. This will then raise the screen automatically when the amplifier or projector is turned on.
Black grid screen rejects ambient light
The Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift Up tensioned Projector Screen features a special micron scale grid structure. Microscopic V-shaped grooves reject light from the room lights, above. However, the grooves have a high reflectivity from the lower-placed projector. Therefore, compared to a standard screen, the image has a much better contrast ratio and a brighter picture. This type of technology was also used by Cinerama screens in the 1950s. The enormous wrap-around screen had vertical louvers to prevent light from each side from interfering with the central picture.
Large 140 degree viewing angle
Unlike some LCD TVs, the Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift Up tensioned Projector Screen has a wide 140-degree viewing angle. This means that those sitting off to the side still get the same great picture. Most LCD screens have a viewing angle of only 88 degrees, while OLED TVs have a viewing angle of 85 degrees.
Why a Projector and screen?
A projector and screen such as the Grandview 16:9 ALR Lift Up tensioned Projector Screen can be less obtrusive than a large screen TV. When folded the screen can be hidden behind furniture. It is also convenient, with automatic deployment, when the projector is turned on. Next is the picture quality and viewing angle. The viewing angle is much wider than with either LCD or OLED TVs. Additionally, sound is often built into the projector, so there are no trailing leads. Moreover, high-end projectors have Dolby Atmos built-in. This creates a surround sound effect by bouncing sound off the ceiling and walls.
