KEF Ci160.2CS is an ultra-thin bezel (UTB) custom install speaker in a rectangular shape, combining an ultra-thin bezel design with high-performance asymmetrical tweeter island - a high-performance speaker which sounds great and is relatively easy to install.
Ultra Thin Bezel (UTB)
An easy to install speaker, CI160.2CS will have you up and going within 2 minutes of running the wire and cutting a hole in your ceiling. A definitive discreet in-ceiling speaker, it has an Ultra Thin Bezel design for a barely visible rim and flush mounting capability.
Asymmetrical Tweeter
Delivering a cleaner, purer sound to the maximum number of listeners, the tweeter island reduces diffraction and enhances off-axis, high-frequency response. The ‘tangerine’ waveguide has exceptionally wide dispersion characteristics, and provides excellent driver protection.
Great Natural Sound
Forward woofer mounting is another KEF technology that eliminates diffraction and ensures we create speakers that perform brilliantly regardless of placement. The new, computer optimised trim ring offers stunning midrange clarity and a more open and natural sound across a wider area.
Moisture Resistant
Ci UTB speakers feature a powder-coated grille treated with a proprietary process, which combined with the moisture-resistant fixings and other rugged materials we use, makes the speaker corrosion resistant so it’s ideal for use in humid and salt spray conditions, such as bathrooms, near pools and beside the ocean.
Intuitive Components
Grilles can be installed easily, even in uneven ceilings due to Bayonet shaped PCB which adds rigidity to the speaker and protects the crossover. A Complete Magnetic Circuit holds the speaker grille firmly in place. The new mounting leg is easy to use and distributes force evenly, benefiting fast installation without damage to the wall or ceiling.
