Description
KEF Reference 2 Meta centre speaker is the more compact of KEF's Reference centre channels, being easier to accommodate than the larger Reference 4 Meta.
In their infinite quest for audio perfection, KEF have squeezed everything they can into the compact Reference 2 Meta – a step change in centre speaker technology
Shift In Technology
The Reference 2 Meta represents a euphoric moment in audiological design that listens to the past but brings you back to the 21st century with an all new 12th Generation Uni-Q driver array which has been combined with an all new MAT (Metamaterial Absorption Technology) built in to deliver a concorde moment in your listening experience
A View To Die For
KEF has again shaken the standard up in the look of their reference range and the Reference 2 Meta is not going to be an exception to this with a sleek and stylish look (with a choice of finishes) that are handmade in the UK by master craftsman allow you to truly match your system to the décor of the room without compromise.
Metaverse Of Sound
This centre channel speaker opens up to a new set of horizons with the introduction of KEF’s game changing Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) which is designed in an maze pattern to deliver absorption of 99% from the rear of the drive units – effectively eliminating distortion which can ruin any good listening experience, all whilst maintaining a standard that sets KEF apart from anyone else in class.
A New Drive Train
Driving the KEF Reference 2 Meta is 4 drivers that deliver a frequency response of 65Hz to 45kHz (+/-3dB) to enable every single sinew of audio is represented accurately and as the artist intended.
High frequencies are taken care of by a single 25mm (1”) aluminium dome (with MAT) that is poised and precise in it's representation, the mid frequency spectrum is handled by a 125mm (6”) aluminium cone unit that gives rich and silky mids without endangering on the lower end where the dual 165mm (6.5”) aluminium cone drivers take over proceedings to deliver that rumbling bass which you will adore when watching a good film.
Powerful
With technology and performance like that, you would think this unit requires a lot of amplification…well you would be wrong as the Reference 2 Meta only consumes 50-300W of power at any one time meaning that your amp will love this unit as much as you love hearing it.
