Description
Moerch DP-8 is a tonearm for your turntable that is built around a complex bearing design to provide accurate tracking. The DP-8 comes in different lengths, weights and finishes to suit your turntable needs.
Horizontal Tracking
Moerch’s DP-8 has a flywheel shaped central body and weights on either side to stabilise the movement of the tonearm when moving horizontally. This improves the accuracy of the tonarm, forcing it to follow the average location of the groove. Which also means all the recorded low-end frequencies are reproduced with full amplitude and dynamics.
Unique Build
The DP-8 has a unique bearing combination. For horizontal mobility, a silicone damped high precision ball-bearing design improves the stability provided by the large housing and counter weights. For vertical motion, two precision sapphire bearings are incorporated, and may be damped if desired, by injecting silicone fluid into a well.
Different Finish, Weight and Length
The DP-8 is available in two different weights, 14g (Extra Heavy) and 7.5g (Medium), and two different lengths, 9” and 12”. This is to optimise the tonearm for any cartridge you may have. It is also available in three finishes, black, chrome or 24-carat gold.
