Description
Pro-Ject Pick-It MC9 MC phono cartridge is designed for the highest accuracy in vinyl replay, with a wide soundstage, strong dynamics and rhythmic sound. Its optimised for very dynamic music like jazz and classical and will also sound fantastic with rock and pop music as well.
Standard screw mounts allow you to use it with any suitable tonearm and turntable - though if you are putting together a setup from scratch, we would recommend pairing this with a Pro-Ject turntable.
Special Elliptical Stylus
MC9 features a special-elliptical stylus to get every possible nuance from the grooves in your vinyl. The cantilever is cryogenically treated which realigns the crystal structure and is utilised to ensure the smoothest possible signal transmission and cross coil. The cross coil is made from Telar 57 pure iron with 6N linear crystal copper winding.
Aluminium Bodied
MC9 is made from anodised aluminium in a stunning black finish. Japanese parts were used for its manufacturing to ensure outstanding performance. It features an output voltage of 0.35mW and is designed for a tracking force of 1.8g.

MC9 is part of Pro-Ject's next generation of cartridges, released at the same time as models like the lower MC3 and Pick-It Pro Balanced, with this being the flagship model of these three, destined for systems where only the best will do, while still offering this at a real world price point.
