Description
The floor-standing Pro-Ject Speaker Box 10 S2 Speaker is a relatively compact 2.5-way unit with a maximum power handling of 150 watts. It is the largest in the Pro-Ject S-line. Notably, there is a 1” silk dome tweeter and a pair of 5” plycone woofers.
The sound is class-leading and the speakers do not dominate the room. Lastly, The crossover is direct wired to minimize lead length. Lastly, spiked feet are supplied with the elegant cabinet.
1” silk dome tweeter
The Pro-Ject Speaker Box 10 S2 Speaker contains a 1” silk dome tweeter. Silk dome tweeters create crystal-clear highs with lots of detail. Moreover, the silk dome tends to produce a more natural sound.
The high-frequency range extends up to 20kHz. Next, the three-way crossover is direct wired and uses the best components. Lastly, 2.5-way units have low and high-frequency woofers so there are three drivers in all.
Two 5” plycone woofers
Two 5” plycone woofers are fitted to the Pro-Ject Speaker Box 10 S2 Speaker. These are rigid and produce less distortion at high volumes. Moreover, the drivers have large magnets and a powerful motor assembly. Additionally, the large cabinet is bass ported and produces good bass down to 50Hz.
Bass reflex cabinet
The cabinet of the Pro-Ject Speaker Box 10 S2 Speaker is made of highly dense MDF. This resists resonance and has sophisticated internal bracing. Additionally, there is a rear-firing bass port. Next, the cabinet is assembled using Eco-friendly glue from Kleiberit. Magnetically attached, acoustically clear, covers are provided.
