The X reference is an exceptional stage for your hi-fi equipment, bringing together SVT rack technology and bronze upgrade to create a stand that ensures an outstanding musical performance from your system.
Light but Rigid
The construction of a hi-fi stand is instrumental for a clean, and clear musical performance. Through extensive testing and research similar to the way fine musical instruments are developed, Quadraspire identified that the best materials to use are non-ferrous metals such as Aluminium and Bronze alongside natural woods or bamboo to reduce resonance.
Improved Shape
Further research found that the shape of the columns and shelves of a Hi-Fi rack determines how the resonance is treated and ultimately how well your equipment will sound. The X reference rack is designed with this in mind, as it comes equipped with extreme curved shelves that unlike square or rectangular shaped shelves, work to reduce standing waves and mass by incorporating an edge chamfer and avoiding parallel lines. Alongside this the rack features an innovative middle aperture design that allows the shelf to breathe.
Excellent Build
The X reference hi-fi rack has been developed to use in conjunction with the bronze upgrade, which has a a broad sound spectrum. The Xreference is essentially a rack within a rack. The X shelves made from Laminated Bamboo with Nextel coating provide excellent damping properties without adding mass. Large aluminium columns support the X shelves for improved rigidity and the bronze spike locators hold the bronze feet perfectly in shape between the SVT and X shelves.
Natural Sound
All the components used in Quadraspire's X Reference Hi-Fi Stand have been specially made to ensure a completely natural performance is achieved from the equipment it houses. You can expect a surprising level of performance from your equipment with an exceptionally low noise floor, and open sound-stage providing a defined and immersive musical experience.
