The Tom Evans Mastergroove MkII is without doubt one of the finest phono stages that money can buy, and the only choice for a no expenses spared analogue system where only the very best phono staging will do. The Mastergroove allows you to hear your entire record collection with such exquisite detail, such open and transparent depth and soundstage and with such exacting and yet musical presentation that you truly believe that it as if you had never heard them before.
The Mastergroove looks sleek and elegant in a slightly curved acrylic housing, and looks a premium product. Build quality is fantastic, as evidenced by its weight and classy materials.
A reference quality phono stage should not add anything to the music, and it should be impossible to find tonal similarities added by the phono stage across different records. What the Mastergroove does is unearth layers of detail that few other phono stages can. When compared directly to even some of the most high end phono stages, the Mastergroove seems like it is playing a different record. Dynamics are emphasised, while imaging and soundstaging is precise and pronounced.

Technical Information
The Front end gain stages offer over 50% less noise and distortion than the acclaimed Groove+ SRX as well as over twice the dynamic range. Signal path resistors use Vishay 0.1% tolerance and 15 parts per million temperature coeficcient!
Each stage gain is powered by a Lithos 7 class ‘A’ local voltage regulators. Both left and right channel local voltage regulators are supplied by our higher powered Lithos 6 regulators in all 14 PCB’s.
Tom Evans have designed and wound “in house” a new 200Va Low Flux Transformer with a electrostatic screened primary winding to dramatically reduce RF (Radio Frequency) interference entering the power supply.
Nine values per channel of cartridge loading resistor settings are provided with dip switches on the rear panel and MM and Decca versions can be built to order.
