PMC Speakers

PMC speakers was established in 1991 by Peter Thomas of BBC and Adrian Loader of PWO Bauch and all of their loudspeakers are still designed and made in the UK. The current range includes award winning Prodigy and excellent Twenty5 series.

PMC's first product was the BB5-A active studio monitors, a reference design which were soon taken up by the BBC. PMC speakers are still used in leading studios, mastering rooms and broadcasters today and indeed many movie scores have been crafted with PMC including themes by Thomas Newman, Henry Jackman, John Debney and Tyler Bates.

There are many movies that have used PMC speakers during production and post, but to name a few these include Titanic, Skyfall, Mission Impossible, Game of Thrones, Captain Phillips, Iron Man 1 and 2, Spiderman 1/2/3, Pearl Harbor, Pirates of the Caribbean and more. PMC is one of few companies to be awarded an Emmy for their contribution to recording excellence.

PMC believe good speakers should relay the music in its pureest form without colouration, whether its in the studio or at home and their current speaker ranges for home use have this running through their DNA. Every pair is extensively tested to ensure it meets the measurements of the original reference design - but computer measurements don't tell the whole story, and PMC's process includes subjective listening tests to ensure every model meets their high standard.
